Course Overview

Welcome to this introductory course on Islamic Theology through the study of "Kharida Al-Bahiyya" (The Radiant Pearl). This classical text, authored by the renowned Egyptian scholar Ahmed Al-Dardir (d. 1786), covers fundamental Sunni Muslim beliefs in a clear, systematic way.

The teacher of this text was blessed to study it in the Azhar Masjid in addition to privately with teachers. Upon completion of the text and putting together a summary of the text, students have the opportunity to receive an ijaza(authorization) with a connected chain going back to Imam Dardir himself. The course will meet Saturdays at 1pm EST. It will begin April 12th, and last for about 9 months. The cost of the course will be $600 in its entirety.
